From January to November, the soap and synthetic detergent manufacturing industries above designated size achieved sales revenue of 106.29 billion yuan, an increase of 14.88% year-on-year; total profits of 10.966 billion yuan, an increase of -5.99% year-on-year; output value margin of 10.70%, an increase of -2.72% year-on-year. .

Imports and exports of detergents all increased year-on-year and were affected by the Spring Festival. February was significantly lower than other months. Imports and exports accounted for a trade surplus. Soaps completed a trade surplus of 237 million U.S. dollars, and synthetic detergents completed a trade surplus of 55 million U.S. dollars.

The detergent industry has a high degree of concentration, with Guangdong alone accounting for 58.06% of the nation's output value, and profits accounting for 84.49% of national profits. The regional structure of the industry will face changes. The output value of the traditional provinces of Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Shandong will grow at a slower pace compared with the same period last year. The output value of Shanghai will decline, and the output value of Henan and Hebei will grow at a rapid rate of around 50% year-on-year.

The detergent industry saw a positive year-on-year increase in sales revenue, while profit decreased year-on-year, indicating that the level of benefits fell in 2010. One of the main reasons was that the sales cost, sales expense, and administrative expense all increased at different levels compared to the same period of last year. Second, raw material costs and logistics costs all increased in different degrees.
