The converter is blown with silicon oxide and manganese, and dephosphorization begins at the later stage of oxidation of silicon and manganese. At 1400 °C, the diffusion coefficient of phosphorus in 2CaO•SiO2 particles is 6.417×10-12 m2/s. If the dephosphorization time is 15-20 min, the 2CaO•SiO2 particles should not be larger than 653 μm.
