Engineers create inkjet printed tattoo electrodes that record EEG brain activity

According to foreign media reports, European engineers have optimized a new technology that uses temporary tattoo electrodes to record EEG brain activity. This technology is inexpensive, can be printed with an inkjet printer, and can output EEG data as accurately as traditional electrodes.

Laura Ferrari, one of the authors of the new study, said: "Brain waves are in the low-frequency range and the amplitude of EEG signals is very low. They are more difficult to capture than EMG or ECG signals."

Tattoo electrodes are made of conductive polymers that can be printed by standard inkjet printers. Clinical trials have found that this new technology is as effective as traditional electrodes in measuring EEG signals, and traditional electrodes require time-consuming applications by trained personnel. In addition, their application also requires the use of a wet conductive gel, which will gradually dry out within a few hours, making consistent measurements over long periods of time unreliable.

The new electrode provides accurate and stable skin contact, which can maintain this state for long periods of time requiring frequent EEG measurements. Francesco Greco from Graz University of Technology, one of the inventors of this electrode, believes that this innovative electrode is cheaper and more comfortable to wear than traditional wet electrodes.

The researchers also stated that the new optimized electrode should also be effective for magnetoencephalography (MEG) measurements. MEG data can usually supplement EEG measurements and bring highly localized brain activity data.

"By using our method, we can produce perfect MEG compatible electrodes, while reducing costs and shortening production time," Greco added.

Brass Nut

Copper nuts made of all kinds of embossed wire (usually lead brass, such as H59, 3604, 3602). Our daily contact with the embedded knurled copper nuts are processed by precision automatic lathes. The reference standard of embedded knurled copper nut comes from GB/T809, but the technical parameters of all kinds of embedded nuts produced by our company exceed the relevant indexes required by the national standard.

Knurling copper nut is mainly used for hardware Spring, shaped spring, craft gift spring, battery spring, spring antenna, key ring, phosphorus copper spring CNC automatic lathe turning parts (copper car parts, iron, aluminum car parts), metal stamping parts, electronic parts, iron shaft, single Rachel,Rachel, iron pin, non-standard Screw nut, fittings, fasteners, wire forming (wire card holder, Model aircraft landing gear, S hook, R latch, triangle buckle, D buckle) and other hardware products, belonging to the copper nut series.
