The emission of sulfur dioxide from coal-fired enterprises such as thermal power plants is the main pollutant of atmospheric pollution. For every 100 million tons of coal burned, 2 million tons of sulfur dioxide will be produced. The excessive sulfur dioxide content in the atmosphere is the direct cause of acid rain. Therefore, the flue gas desulfurization project for the construction of thermal power plants is imperative.
It is understood that by the end of 2004, about 20 million kilowatts of installed flue gas desulfurization equipment will be put into operation or built, and more than 30 million kilowatts of installed flue gas desulfurization equipment is under construction. It is estimated that about 300 million kilowatts of installed flue gas desulfurization equipment will be put into operation and construction in the next 10 years. In our province, there are two 300,000-kilowatt units in Shimen Power Plant Phase II, two 600,000-kilowatt units in Xiangtan Power Plant Phase II, and two 310,000-kilowatt units in Zhuzhou Power Plant Phase II. The desulfurization projects will be built, and the remaining major thermal power plants will also begin. Construction.
However, before 2005, there was no manufacturer in China that produced desulfurization equipment independently, and all equipment relied on imports from abroad. Imported equipment has greatly increased the cost of desulfurization of thermal power plants. According to calculations, the cost of imported equipment costs 1,000 yuan per kilowatt, and the cost of desulfurization equipment for a 300,000 kilowatt thermal power unit needs about 300 million yuan. The cost of equipment is only 300 yuan per kilowatt, and the cost of a 300,000 kilowatt unit is less than 100 million yuan.
Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. was established at the beginning of this year with a total investment of 500 million yuan. In early August, it started the production of the first set of desulfurization equipment in the first domestic thermal power plant. At the National Desulfurization Industrialization Equipment Symposium held in Beijing at the end of July, the Environmental Protection Department of the National Development and Reform Commission identified the company as the first domestic enterprise to produce desulfurization equipment.
At present, the company can undertake 10 sets of 300,000 kilowatts and 10 sets of 600,000 pairs of complete sets of desulfurization system equipment and denitration and dust removal equipment. It fills a gap for China's independent production of large-scale thermal power plant desulfurization equipment.
