Dinh Vu polyester fiber factory funded by Vietnam Petroleum & Petrochemicals and Textile Fibers (PVTEX) Co., Ltd. has produced Vietnam's first domestic polyester synthetic fiber (PSF).
The factory is located in the Tingwu Industrial Park in the northern port of Haiphong City and covers an area of ​​15 hectares. With a production capacity of 175,000 tons, the plant is expected to stably meet approximately 40% of the total demand for polyester staple fiber in the domestic textile industry.
In the process, Vietnam will reduce the import of polyester staple fiber, saving about 400 million U.S. dollars annually.
In addition, this factory will also promote the growth of the domestic PSF industry and create about 700 formal jobs. Annual sales exceed 6 trillion VND.
At the same time, PVTEX has already started investing approximately VND 140 billion in constructing the Phu Bai fiber plant in the Pavilion Industrial Park.
