(1) Water bath dust collector Dust-laden air is ejected from the nozzle at a high speed of 8 to 12 m/s, and is flushed into the liquid to arouse a large amount of foam and water droplets. The coarse dust particles settle directly in the pool, and the fine dust particles are trapped due to cohesion and weight gain after the upper space collides with the water droplets. The efficiency of a water bath precipitator is generally 80% to 95%. The depth of the nozzle is h020~30mm. The dust collector resistance is about 400-700Pa.
The water bath dust collector can be constructed of brick or reinforced concrete on site, suitable for small and medium-sized factories. Its disadvantage is that mud cleaning is more difficult.
(2) Impulse type dust collector The dust-laden gas enters the dust collector and turns downwards, impinging on the liquid surface, and some coarse dust particles directly settle in the mud bucket. The dust-containing gas then passes through the S-shaped passage at a high speed, stimulating a large amount of water droplets, so that the dust is in full contact with the water droplets. Under normal conditions, the dust collector resistance is about 1500 Pa, and the efficiency is 93% for 5 μm dust. The lower part of the impulse dust collector is equipped with a scraper conveyor to automatically scrape the mud, or it can be discharged manually.
When the dust volume of the precipitator is changed within the range of 20%, there is almost no influence on the dust removal efficiency. The impulse dust removal unit combines the dust collector and the fan, and has the advantages of compact structure, small floor space, and simple maintenance management.
In the washing wastewater of the wet dust collector, in addition to the solid particles, there are various soluble substances, and the washing wastewater is directly discharged into rivers or sewers, which may cause water pollution, which is a problem worthy of attention. At present, most foreign wet dust collectors use circulating water. The water used in the self-excited dust collector is automatically circulated inside the dust collector, and is called a wet dust collector for water circulation. Compared with the wet precipitator with water circulation, it saves the investment and operation cost of the circulating water pump and reduces the amount of wastewater treatment.
The disadvantage of the impulse precipitator is that it consumes more metal, has higher resistance and is more expensive than other wet scrubbers.
