Peach powder is also known as Peach Taiwei. The damage to peach tree shoots, leaves and young fruits seriously affects the growth of peach trees and induces bituminous diseases.
Morphological characteristics
The adult wingless female body is about 2 mm long, green, compound eyes are red, and there are waxy white powder on the body surface; the winged female body is smaller in shape, the head and chest are light black, and the abdomen is yellowish green with white powder. The egg is oval in shape, yellowish green at the time of birth, and turned black and green. If the worm body is smaller than the wingless female, it is yellowish green and has less white powder.
2. Living habits
The eggs are overwintered in the buds of the peach trees, and the wingless females occur in the middle and late March, and continue to breed and spread. From May to June, winged females are produced and migrated to grasses such as reeds for parasitic reproduction. When they return to peach trees in late autumn and early winter, they continue to harm and lay eggs for winter.
3. Prevention methods
Mainly in the prevention and treatment of pesticides, after the Xiehua, the peach aphid has occurred but has not been sprayed before the roll. Pharmacy can be used 40% dimethoate 2000 times solution, or 20% butyl thiocarbamate emulsifiable concentrate 1000 times solution, or 0% methrin emulsion 3000 times solution, 20% acetamiprid WP WP 15000 times solution, pyrcog (70% imidacloprid water-dispersible granules) 1000 times liquid or the like.
Because the surface of the insect body is multi-wax powder, a proper amount of neutral detergent or detergent can be added to the liquid to improve the adhesion of the liquid. Peach trees can be sprayed with Baume 5 degree stone sulphur mixture before germination to eliminate wintering eggs.
