Kennametal's new Z-PlungeTM cutters are designed for the aerospace industry, die steel and general machining.
The unique design enhances its chip evacuation performance, especially for grooving, and the new milling cutter increases productivity by up to 30%. Each blade has 4 cutting edges for economical efficiency. The positive rake insert geometry reduces cutting forces while also providing greater feed. The coolant can be delivered through 9 different sizes of interchangeable coolant nozzles, so it can be used on most machines. This new tool has three forms: threaded connection, cylindrical handle and sleeve. Dimensions are 32 mm to 160 mm and 1.250 to 6.00 inches. The blades are available in both ground and precision sintered versions, as well as different materials to suit different workpiece materials. Dennis McNamara, global product manager for Kenner's indexable inserts, said "these tools improve cutting performance while reducing the cost of each cutting edge."
In addition, Kennametal has introduced a new approach to training. Kenna's new product application videos are more effective in helping customers get the latest knowledge and ideas, no matter where they are and where they can go online. If you would like to learn more about Kenner's new products and are interested in attending training, please contact Kenner Sales or an authorized dealer at Kenner.
