Antique brick paving process

Antique brick paving the first step: "determine the program." Commonly used antique brick paving methods, in addition to the same as the traditional wall and tile, in addition to the vertical and horizontal paving method, antique tiles, there are "herringbone", "I-posted", "ramp-shaped line", "Cut corner brick lining small tiles" paving, "tiles with edges" paving and so on. Paving methods can be varied and varied. Choosing a suitable shop with the designer is related to buying, counting, etc., and should not be taken lightly.

The second step: "leveling." The so-called leveling is to deal with the surface of the building before laying the antique tiles, such as the interior wall surface, exterior wall surface, and the ground. Eliminating the dirt attached to the surface, and watering and moistening, and then mixing and leveling with cement, generally using a gray shovel on the surface to keep the cement surface level, until the cement and sand mixture is completely dry before paving.

The third step: "bomb line." This line is the use of a long thin line, the way to determine the way the paving, online painted with color or white ash, and then in the leveling of the ground to draw the position of the antique tiles and brick seam reference line. It's a good idea to use a black line with a carpenter on a board.

The fourth step: "Paving". After doing the above preparatory work, we must really start tiling work. Some high-grade/imported antique tiles are designed to achieve a more natural effect of paving, and deliberately make the tiles “primary” rather than straight-cut. side. As a result, we must emphasize paving techniques, and we must shop along the direction of the signs or arrows in the bottom of the bricks (good antique brick brands will do finer in this respect, and the bottom of bricks generally have directional instructions), otherwise Problems such as "size head" will occur due to wrong orientation. Pay attention to whether the construction team's construction methods are detailed or not, which can greatly reduce the decoration problems that will occur in the future.

The fifth step: "Brick dipping". Soak the matt bricks in clean water so as not to bubble out. Make the tiles fully absorb water and prevent the dry tiles from absorbing water after the decoration is finished to cause deformation of the tiles.

The sixth step: "mixed pulp." The cement mortar should be mixed in a ratio of 1:2. The cement mortar number after mixing should be under 200#. These will be used to smear on the back of the tile.

The seventh step: "spray". Take out the soaked tiles, dry the water stains, spray enough water on the leveling layer, and then evenly apply the cement mortar on the back of the brick. The thickness of the mortar is 5~6cm. It is appropriate to thicken the bricks with large matt size. Immediately after the bricks are affixed, gently beat them with a wooden hammer to avoid emptying and level with a ruler at any time.

The eighth step: "dressing". After filling a certain area, the joints are used to fill and smooth the seams on the brick joints. Finally, the brick surface dirt, such as cement mortar, sewage, stains, etc., shall be removed to strengthen the protection.
