How to prevent gas damage by fertilizing vegetables in greenhouses

1. There are two main types of greenhouse gas hazards caused by improper fertilization: one is ammonia poisoning and the other is nitric acid poisoning, both of which are caused by the application of excessive nitrogen fertilizer. Their symptoms are similar. But their conditions of occurrence are very different. Generally, ammonia gas is applied to a large amount of ammonium nitrogen fertilizer and urea in a greenhouse, and the temperature in the shed is high, especially in neutral or alkaline soils, which are easily decomposed and escape ammonia gas.
2. The conditions for producing nitrous acid gas are mainly acidic soil (pH is about 5), the soil temperature is low, and there is excess nitrogen in the soil.
3. The most fundamental measure for the prevention and control of greenhouse gas hazards in greenhouses is to control the application rate of nitrogen fertilizer, and at the same time reduce the application of ammonium nitrogen fertilizer or unfertilized human and livestock fertilizer. In the shed, the temperature should be changed frequently, and the greenhouses that have caused gas damage can be drenched or diluted into the pure soil. Liquors that are prone to nitrite gas hazards can be used to regulate soil acidity, and nitrification inhibitors can be used to control nitrification to avoid hazards.
