The boiler is bulky, has many components, and has a complicated assembly relationship. Boiler design and manufacture is a big project. It generally adopts top-down, step-by-step design and organization. The management of product information and design process is very cumbersome and difficult to grasp. At present, Zhengzhou Boiler Factory has adopted CAD technology, and some products have adopted CAPP technology. The application of CAD and CAPP has brought a new look to the technical work of the enterprise, but its development has further exposed advanced technology and backwardness. The contradiction between the management modes. With the full application of CAD and CAPP, electronic data is increasing, and the technical work mode is quietly changing. The traditional paper-based management mode can no longer meet the management requirements of electronic data and computer working mode, and it limits CAD/ The further application of CAPP system benefits, management has become a bottleneck for the technical department to improve work efficiency and work quality.
1 step-by-step PDM design
The so-called step-by-step PDM design, as its name suggests, has the meaning of step by step. Due to the size and complexity of the boiler, the design of the product cannot be reflected at a glance in the early stage of technical preparation. The design of the product can only be achieved through various levels of assignment and responsibility. Inspired by this traditional working method, combined with the actual situation of Zhengzhou Boiler Factory, based on Tsinghua Yingtai PDM, a step-by-step PDM design idea was proposed. This design method is based on the original software. Development, product design as a project management, each product component will be organized as a branch of the project. Therefore, product design is closely linked to the implementation of project management and process management. After the project is completed, the product components are completed, and the product structure and associated documents need not be built through product configuration. The execution of the tasks is also reflected in the product structure tree. This product design enables designers and managers to work more efficiently to meet the needs of the fast-responding market. The step-by-step PDM interface is shown in Figure 1.
1. 1 step-by-step PDM design description
The process of step-by-step PDM product design is carried out in the form of task assignment. The unit of task assignment can be either node or document. In general, tasks can be assigned to multiple people, and individuals create nodes and documents under authorized nodes. At the same time, the task can be further assigned to others as needed, and the person in charge of the sub-task is responsible for supervising the task and ensuring that the task is implemented as planned. When receiving the boiler order, the technical center establishes the project structure tree root node in the system and the standard group completes the standardization and comprehensive requirements according to the contract and other input files under the node, and then the technology center authorizes the node to each in the form of task assignment. At the design office, the project leader of the design department authorizes the creation of the general drawing, layout drawing, manual, calculation book and other drawing documents and component nodes under the root node according to the design requirements, and distributes the component node authorization to the responsible engineer.
After the responsible engineer opens the PDM system, the task list is displayed, and the component (general map) design can be performed under the corresponding node, the component node is established, and the component node is authorized to be distributed to the designer. The designer performs component design under the component node to create branch component nodes, part nodes, and image files. The upper and lower node data are associated with each other and automatically coordinated. The CAD/CAPP software is started by the PDM system and managed in a unified manner.
In the design process, the structure tree, drawings, and process files are all stored in the server, and have strict permission control to ensure the correctness, completeness and integrity of the data. Those who have permission can view the shared design drawings and process files at any time to understand the progress of the engineering design and the assignment of tasks. After the drawing design is completed, the design BOM module automatically generates the parts list, component list, total list, etc. at the corresponding node. After the process card is finished, the process BOM module automatically produces the material quota, tooling list, various schedules, etc. at the corresponding nodes. . Through the node, you can easily find all the information related to the node.
After the design and process are completed, a complete structural tree will be generated, and all the design drawings, process cards, design lists, process lists of a project can be stored clearly in the upper layer of the tree, and even product technical materials such as calculation books and manuals can be included. Provide a rich classification query statistics function, which will significantly improve the speed and utilization of technical data, technical information can be easily transferred to the next process. The completed node data is submitted to the file department for management. The authority belongs to the file department. The file department archives and registers the node data to the archive media (such as CD-ROM). On this basis, the electronic documentation of the product technical documents is realized.
1. 2 working principle of step-by-step PDM
In PDM, task assignment is the whole process from task creation to continuous refinement to completion. Decompose specific tasks and deliver them to the right people at the right time so that the tasks can be completed on time. This is the process of longitudinal extension of the project. This kind of process is mostly uncertain. It is characterized by few abnormal operations such as rollback, and the order of execution between tasks constitutes the relationship of tasks. In theory, there is any correlation between tasks (but not a loop), so it is also more complicated, requiring more human scheduling and control. In the product structure tree, the task assignment is represented by the continuous expansion of the structure tree; the workflow refers to the whole process of the document from creation to continuous optimization and improvement to archiving, consisting of several steps, these steps constitute a directed graph, before and after Fixed timing logic. This is the process of horizontal extension of the project. This type of process management is mostly deterministic. In the process of sequential logic execution of the process, changes are rarely found, but there are many abnormal operations such as rollback, and the reliability of execution is high. The workflow does not extend the product structure tree, it changes the state of the associated document on the structure tree. Step-by-step PDM organically combines task assignments and workflows through a product structure tree to create unique project management.
1. 3 step-by-step PDM product design features and advantages
First of all, from the perspective of task assignment, the task assignment of step-by-step PDM is closely coordinated around the product structure tree. With the subdivision of tasks, the product structure tree is constructed dynamically and in parallel, and the documents generated by the task are generated. Automatically associated with the product structure tree node. This management method, which directly links the project and the product, greatly facilitates the use of the staff on the one hand, and decomposes the large project that no one can grasp to each responsible person, and is managed by the computer. Managers can use the system to understand the task status of the project. Thereby making adjustments to the project.
Secondly, the dynamic designation of the task flow is close to the traditional manual transfer in the process, but the process is more timely and standardized through the step-by-step PDM process. If you are designing, you may not have specified proofreading, review, etc. When the design is completed and submitted to the person in charge, the responsible person will assign the task at the appropriate time, such as the proofreader and the reviewer. Because the PDM system records process information for each phase, tasks can be monitored and managed. Manager Ni is very convenient to see where the task has gone, whether the task is expected to be completed, and the system can automatically raise a warning for tasks that are nearing completion but have not yet completed.
In addition, product design can be coordinated to improve collaboration between staff and departments, reducing waiting time and improving efficiency. For example, when multiple departments are authorized to multiple people, they can design and re-dispatch the responsible parts at the same time. In the product structure tree, anyone has permission to browse other people's documents, even if the document is not in the library, you can see the document being designed. Therefore, some work can be carried out at the same time, providing valuable time for the project to be completed ahead of time.
2 Improve the efficiency of CAD / CAPP application
From the perspective of managers, step-by-step PDM proposes some more practical functions that can help them improve management and management quality, so managers are more acceptable.
2. 1 two-way interaction
Two-way interaction means that in a step-by-step PDM system, information can be extracted from DWG drawings and process cards to the corresponding nodes of the product structure tree, and node information can be written into DWG drawings and process cards. The designer can share the same information once, and then share it all the time. For the error message, just modify one place, and the system automatically updates accordingly.
The two-way interaction includes two layers of meaning: the first layer realizes the two-way interaction between the node information and the summary information of the node and the child node information; the second layer realizes the two-way interaction between the summary information and the child node information in the parent node association document. Taking the design diagram as an example, the first layer of two-way interaction is to write the node information into the title bar, and the title bar information is extracted to the node, and the second layer of two-way interaction is generated by the summary table expansion child node and child node information to generate a list; A component or component node with a schedule requires simultaneous two-layer interaction. When the node submission is completed, the system automatically checks whether the schedule, node attribute information, and the title bar information of the drawing associated with the node are consistent. If the data is inconsistent, the submission is rejected. Figure 2 shows the two-way interaction of data between components, primary support components, secondary support components, and parts.
2. 2 Knowledge Base
In the CAD/CAPP application process, we found that the designer's utilization of enterprise knowledge is very low, and the reason is analyzed, mainly because the information is not shared. For a long time, the company has accumulated a lot of knowledge, and it is a great waste to abandon it. In order to completely change this situation, we envisage introducing various knowledge bases in the CAD/CAPP application environment to reduce duplication of work and thus improve Work efficiency. For example, we create a material library in PDM for CAD call. In the CAD environment, by querying the data in the existing material library, we can quickly get the information such as the code inventory of the material and directly write it into the title bar or the schedule. While improving efficiency, the correctness and standardization of material information are guaranteed. In progressive PDM, similar knowledge bases include CAPP process resource libraries, common parts, and standard parts.
3 Conclusion
Realizing information management is the basis for enterprises to survive and develop in the fierce market competition in the information age. Most information software does not necessarily meet the actual needs of a certain enterprise, and further development according to the actual situation of Zhengzhou Boiler Factory PDM is easy to accept for designers and managers, and is conducive to promotion in the enterprise. Through the implementation and application of step-by-step PDM, the product design has been digitized, which has greatly shortened the product development cycle, improved the design quality, enhanced the competitiveness of the enterprise, and promoted the enterprise informationization process.
