Garlic has higher requirements for nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers throughout the growth period, but their demand varies during different growth stages. Nitrogen is an important nutrient element for the growth of garlic. The medium-yield garlic field needs to absorb 19.5 kg of pure nitrogen per acre. Apart from the slightly increased absorption during the elongation period of garlic, it is basically balanced in the whole growth period. Phosphorus needs less than nitrogen, but it is indispensable for promoting root development, differentiation and growth of garlic and garlic. The absorption per acre is 5.1 kg, and its absorption is 62% in the elongation period of garlic. The absorption during the period of expansion and garlic was 17% and 21%, respectively. Potassium, among the three major nutrients of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, has the highest absorption of potassium, and the absorption per mu is 23 kg. The seedling stage requires less potassium, accounting for 21.2% of the total amount, the garlic stalk elongation period is 53.2%, and the garlic swell period is 25.6%.
The fertilization method is from the end of March to the beginning of April, respectively, the first fertilizer is applied, and the dosage is 28 kg per mu. At the end of April, the second fertilizer is applied before the garlic is harvested, and the dosage per mu is 22 kg. The specific application method is to dissolve a certain amount of fertilizer into water and then rush in with watering. Note that the fertilizer of the covered garlic should not be applied, so as to prevent the fertilizer from being insoluble in water on the membrane and causing waste.
