[] High manganese steel is widely used in mining machinery, metallurgy and other fields due to its high wear resistance. High-manganese steel is prone to hot cracking before use, and there are disadvantages such as brittle fracture, cracking and short service life during use. Surface strengthening treatment can improve the original hardness of high-manganese steel products and reduce the initial wear of the products. Common methods are:
1. Surface decarburization technology
By using the deformation martensite mechanism, it is possible to deform the martensite on the surface of the high manganese steel casting by using a carbon content to strengthen the high manganese steel and improve the wear resistance. Available surface decarburization technologies are:
1 Heating under a reducing atmosphere, surface decarburization is achieved by chemical reaction of H2 with a surface substrate.
Fer(C+2H2—Fe+CH4
2Ar ion bombardment method: carbon bombardment on the surface of high manganese steel can be bombarded by ion bombardment in a metal infiltration furnace. The working gas is industrial pure Ar.
2, surface alloying
1Inlaying process is adopted. By coating the surface of the mold with alloy coating, arsenic iron powder or alloy cast iron sheet, the molten steel is poured and melted and welded, which greatly improves the surface properties of the casting.
2 Using Cr-containing welding rods for surfacing welding on high-manganese steel to improve wear resistance. Generally, the hardness of surfacing welding of chrome-manganese steel surfacing welding rod is about HRC31, and the hardness of surfacing welding of general chrome-molybdenum steel surfacing welding rod can reach ≥HRC40, chrome The hardness of surfacing welding of manganese silicon steel surfacing electrode can reach ≥HRC50. .
3, shot peening
A fine grain is formed on the surface of the high manganese steel casting by shot peening to increase the initial hardness of the surface, and also to improve the fatigue strength of the part or prevent stress corrosion damage.
4, explosion hardening
Explosive hardening is an effective method for surface pre-hardening of high-manganese steel parts by explosive method. It is currently only used in high-manganese steel castings, such as forks on railways, bucket teeth of excavators, and squats. The jaws of the crusher, etc., are used to increase the hardness of the working surface of the part and improve the wear resistance.
