Chongqing Electrical and Mechanical Skills Competition needs to wear insulated shoes

Recently, the third China Chongqing Vocational Skills Competition (central competition) electromechanical integration project started in Chongqing Institute of Industrial Technicians. The competition is for the first time referenced to the technical standards and processes of the World Skills Contest, aiming to develop more highly-skilled talents for the city.

In the afternoon of the mechatronics project, 20 players were in groups of two. According to the competition arrangements, the players completed the operation of five parts including the six-axis industrial robots and the touch screen, and finally assembled a drug dispensing automated production line. Liu Junhua is one of the contestants and also a maintenance electrician at Chongqing Weichai Engine Factory. "In the factory, there is a large number of parts that are in contact with oneself, and parts are used in the competition. Therefore, careful installation is required." Liu Junhua said that the requirements of the operating specifications are also more meticulous.

“Safety is a top priority, and the competition is more focused on operational norms.” Shen Yue, the referee for the competition, introduced that with safety production as an example, each player needs to wear insulated shoes and female players must wear hats. "The player's illegal operation must not only be deducted, but may even be disqualified."
