Among the five Chinese companies on the list, both Carboline and Shanghai Paint are listed in the Global Top 50 Coatings for the fourth consecutive year. Among them, Shanghai Coatings ranked 33rd with US $ 509 million in sales, down 2 places from the previous year. Carberry ranked 35th with US $ 489 million, becoming China ’s first domestic civilian paint company to reach the 3 billion level, and its development is of concern. From this year's list data, it can be seen that the sales of Jiabaoli and Shanghai Coatings have exceeded the global coatings business volume of well-known brands such as Japan's Musashi and Danish Fule.

Judging from the "CCR China Top Coatings List" released by the coatings industry media on July 7, in 2013, there were a total of 48 coating companies in China that reached this standard (sales value of 600 million yuan). 11 foreign-funded companies and 5 Chinese companies including Carboline, Xiangjiang, Bardez, Dongfang Yuhong, Zhanchen, Meitus, Lehua, Pearl River, Changrunfa, Sankeshu, Fusi Thirty-two Chinese companies such as Special, China, JCDecaux, Restoration, Keshun, Clivia, Ascott, and Chenyang can be on the list.
If all of them are listed, the history of the top coating companies in the world will be rewritten. Chinese companies will account for 1/3, and the number will exceed the number of the 19 listed companies in the United States, becoming the country with the largest number of listed companies.
