Changan Automobile Magnesium Alloy Castings and other projects won Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Award

In order to accelerate the strategy of promoting education through science and education and to strengthen the city through talents, the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government has inaugurated the 2010 Chongqing Science and Technology Award Conference on July 19, 2011 at the Chongqing Municipal Committee. The meeting was presided over by Vice Minister Zhang Xuan of Chongqing Municipality. At the meeting, there were a total of more than 800 people such as the mayor of Chongqing City Mayor Huang Qifan, academicians of the Academy of Engineering, the municipal party committee, universities, enterprises, and award-winning representatives. President Zhu Huarong attended the meeting and spoke on behalf of the winners.

At the meeting, Zhu ** mainly introduced Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. to comply with the trend of science and technology and environmental protection, seize the commanding heights of the new energy vehicle industry, and jointly universities, deepen the cooperation of "production, research, and research", successfully developed a hybrid car, and took the lead in large-scale domestic development. Demonstration operation, its sales accounted for more than 50% of the total sales of new energy cars in the country. Chang'an Automobile Co., Ltd. has persisted in scientific and technological innovation for 30 years and regards technological innovation as an inexhaustible motive force for the development of enterprises. It has successfully launched a series of energy-saving, environmental-friendly and economically-applicable classic products such as Yuexiang and Benben mini, and has made a bid for creating a "City of Cars" in Chongqing. With active contributions, Changan Automobile will make unremitting efforts to promote Chongqing's construction of a world-famous automobile city and advanced manufacturing base.

The conference awarded 180 awards for the 2010 Municipal Science and Technology Award (17 First Prize, 55 Second Prize and 108 Third Prize). Among them: 21 natural science awards, 4 technological invention awards, and 155 science and technology progress awards.

Chang'an Automobile received a total of 7 awards, including the “Prioritized Technology Research and Industrialization of Middle-Powered Sedan Cars”, the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award, “Integrated Application Technology Development of Large Complex Magnesium Alloy Castings in Automobiles and Motorcycles”, and “Changan Zhixiang”. "Development of Series Cars", "Research on Matching Technology of Automatic Transmission Locomotives" and "Study on Optimization Technology of Combustion for Gasoline Engines" won the second prize for scientific and technological progress, "Study on operability and smooth optimization matching technology based on virtual prototype" and "Changan JL466Q2 ( 1.0L) Development of Transverse Gasoline Engines won the third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award.

The relevant leaders and award-winning representatives of Changan Automotive Technology and Intellectual Property Management Department and New Energy Automobile Company attended the meeting.
